Key Stage 1

We provide English and Maths tuition for our KS1 students which is centred around the national curriculum framework, which is shown below. Each student is given a free initial assessment, from which we develop a list of their individual targets which we then work with them to improve. These targets are all in line with the current national curriculum.

Alongside working to generally improve your child’s academic performance, we also help prepare KS1 students for their end of Year 1 phonics screening test and their end of KS1 SATs, including Maths, English reading and SPAG. As this is the students’ first experience with ‘official’ exams, m any can find these tests challenging. Our tuition helps to prepare the children academically, while also building their confidence, allowing them to sit the exams without worry.
