A welcome from our Head Teacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to welcome you to Assess Education!

After gaining my headteacher qualification in 2006, I quickly realised I wanted to work in an environment where students are at the heart of every decision, and so, Assess Education was founded.

The needs of students are always paramount in the life and decision making within our school. I strongly believe in providing students with exciting, innovative and meaningful learning experiences that will build their enthusiasm for life, learning and the future.

We have a hugely committed team who are passionate about making a difference to our students lives and are proud to promote a safe, positive learning environment that is inclusive to all individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Thank you for your continued support.

Dena Robinson – Head Teacher

We are passionate about changing the lives of young people, from helping them to achieve academic qualifications, working with them to improve their attendance and working on transferable ‘soft-skills’ such as communication, confidence or mental well-being. Each year we watch our students grow as individuals, and are proud of the impact we have on them and their lives.

Beyond the classroom

Beyond the classroom, we are proud to support the community where we work. We believe that by investing in our community, we are investing in the people within it. We have always been based in the Wavertree area of Liverpool, and firmly believe in the importance of giving back and investing in our local area.

We do this in many ways such as running after school and holiday clubs, opening our doors to enable community groups to come together and donate rooms for community classes. We have also provided school places to English as a Second Language (ESL) students on an unfunded basis, to help them learn English and worked with children who haven’t got school places on an unfunded basis, to support them to secure positive progressions at age 16. We value our community, it makes up who we are as an alternative, independent training provider and as such, we pride ourselves on the fluid and meaningful relationship we have with our community.

Testimonial

“I am writing to support the great work of Assess Education. This community organisation is an asset in the heart of Wavertree.

The staff are welcoming and inclusive of all – young and older people alike – and support all community activity – such as planning meetings, community get-togethers and the revitalisation of our area. Staff are friendly and flexible and through the support of Assess Education, we have managed to set up a thriving community group which is bringing about positive change in the area.”
