Enrichment Opportunities

“It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be” – J.K Rowling

Beyond the classroom, we believe that it is vital for our students to have access to a range of enrichment opportunities which enable them to become rounded individuals.

We are proud that our pupils and staff contribute extensively to the provision and support of the wider community, building positive relationships with local businesses and homes. They also develop leadership skills and act as role models to their peers.

In addition to our weekly PSHE / Citizenship lessons, we have a series of regular activities which all pupils can access. These include the likes of:

  • Employability skills
  • Opening Minds Asdan
  • School council
  • Values and beliefs
  • Peer mentoring
  • Mental health
  • English and maths intervention
  • Catch-up after school sessions

Through these activities, our pupils display and develop skills which show:

  • Leadership and the potential to be valued citizens of the future
  • Respect and tolerance towards others within an ethos which values the contributions of all
  • Positive responses to and participation in theatre, music, art, drama, sport and cultural activities
  • Self-esteem and confidence enabling awareness of opportunities and progression
